Welcome to Seungwon Kim Research Group. This group was founded in Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) by Dr. Seung-Won Kim. Soft robotics employs features of soft materials and structures that can offer many advantages in adaptability and safety to various applications interacting with human. We are focusing on novel design, mechanisms, materials, actuation, and manufacturing in soft robotics to develop innovative healthcare & medical robotic applications for the goal of enhancing our quality of life. The research group is closely involved with the Center for Healthcare Robotics of AI-Robot Institute in KIST and has been actively collaborating with different research groups.
